In movies, love stories seem to be unrealistic because of its beautiful and thoroughly made story line. But in real life, love is not always a happy story. Sometimes, it is hurtful, nasty and sad. But that’s the best thing about love, you tend to shred tears but still chose to continue to love. Here are some inspiring love stories that will certainly restore your faith when it comes to love.

The Famous Movie, “The Notebook” In Real Life

The British Version of this famous movie are Jack and Phyllis Potter. Just like in the movie in which the woman had dementia, Phyllis also had the same destiny. But then, the disease didn’t hinder Jack from his love towards Phyllis. Ever since a child, Jack always keeps track with his day to day activities through writing a journal. Because of that, the meeting of Jack and Phyllis on October 1941, was also written on it. After just 16 months of dating, the two got married. But eventually the disease struck hard on their marriage and Jack couldn’t handle it any longer. Phyllis was sent in a nursing home.

The situation didn’t hinder Jack from loving Phyllis. He goes to Phyllis every day and reads a diary and photographs to remind her of her forgotten life. Despite being sick with dementia, Phyllis has never ever forgotten the love she has for Jack. They are 70 years married now.

Born Together Then Died Together

True love just moves mysteriously. On December 31, 1918, Les Brown Jr. and Helen were both born. Because of their different status in life, their family were against them. It didn’t hinder their love. They eloped when they were 18 years old. They bought a house in Southern California and raised their own family. Years past and Helen had stomach cancer while Les had Parkinson’s disease. His wife Helen died on the morning of July 2013 and Les died in the afternoon.

Lovers Of War

David And Perla Szumiraj

David Szumiraj and Perla were both captives during the war in Europe. They were assigned to tend a potato field. They were not allowed to speak to each other but when the guards weren’t looking at them, they made eye contact. The eye contact they made were enough to express the love they feel for each other that time. The Nazis evacuated the prisoners including Perla and David. Before the evacuation, they promised to get married when the war is over and if they’re both still alive at that time. David only ate grass during the evacuation but survived it all because of the promise they made for each other. Until a miracle came and David was saved by and American soldier. He was bought in a safe house. There, he saw the love he was longing so much, Perla. They married and lived a happy life for more than six decades.

A Love Despite The Pain

Howard And Nancy Kleinberg

The British War is not only a pain to remember. Some found their true love during the war. Nancy and Howard Kleinberg love story was one of those. Howard was a prisoner who merely survived the war. But he was too exhausted and hopeless that he just lay down together with the thousands of bodies in a pit. But fortunately, a woman named Nancy saw him and realized that Howard was still breathing. He helped him and gave him food to eat. The British moved Howard to the hospital and they soon separated. It took six months for Howard to recover and when he did, he eventually looked for Nancy. Howard lose hope that he will find Nancy and just chose to immigrate to Toronto. But coincidentally, Nancy was also immigrated to Toronto at the same city where Howard is. They eventually met and got married. Howard spent the rest of his life loving his precious wife and treating her like a princess which is just the best way to say thank you for saving him in the pit of death.

In Sickness And In Health, Love Will Prevail.

A video was spread throughout the internet which has touched the hearts of thousands of people. This video is about the wedding of a cancer patient and his long-time girlfriend. Rowden Go and Liezel Go were set to get married on July 8. But a sad news arrived. Rowden was diagnosed to have cancer. Because his condition was becoming worse every day, the family decided to pursue the wedding a head. They did it in the hospital. While Rowden is lying in the hospital bed, Liezel walked slowly to his groom which is such a touching scene. Rowden died hours after marrying Liezel. The video was uploaded by his sister to inspire other people.

    Awww!! I love these stories! My grandparents had a wonderful long marriage and when my grandma passed, my grandpa went not too long after. He just wasn’t himself with her there!

    These are really interesting tales of successful couples. I remember the story of my lolo and lola who died just a few months apart because my lolo was so sad because my lola passed away.
