There is a strong belief or superstition that it’s a bad luck for the groom to see the bride in her wedding dress before the ceremony.

Although it’s an old practice, many still do believe in this.

For them, nothing will lose if they just follow this simple unusual wedding rule, right?

Now this makes me somehow wonder how it feels like to really be on my wedding day! Waaaah, do grooms have anxiety attacks on wedding days? Haha or was it excitement so much that tears just naturally flow from eyes? Makes me think!

We also follow this simple wedding rule but most brides now are okay to wear their wedding dress for prenuptial shots and pose for the camera. The reactions of the groom are quite fun!

Sometimes, i feel, it’s not really about the decision on the dress, but the decision we brides make, the sacrifice of leaving our home to join in matrimony and build a home with someone we love. The white dress isn’t a significant of the princess who wore it and made it in trend, but the simple promise that we present our whole to our significant others.
Like a blank page, a fresh start, a white canvas, can the couple then paint their future together. 🙂

I think this is one of the reason grooms shouldn’t see their brides. The impact of seeing them in their gown on wedding day would be much natural.

Can relate much to the grooms’ emotions , the first time they saw their brides in their wedding dress. But, there is no ‘crying time’ for me.. ha,ha,ha…

I don’t believe in that superstition. My husband saw me wearing my wedding dress before the wedding.
