Labrador Retriever Steals the Show at Owner’s Wedding with Funny Antics
A lot of people want to include their dogs in the wedding ceremony, on the premise that dogs are their best friends or family members already. Some couples even treat their dogs as their kids; thus, they certainly want these dogs to be part of the wedding.
For Angie Blumberg and Jayce Conway from Freeburg, Illinois, there’s no question that their 6-year-old dog Boone would be part of the wedding. Jayce even thought that Boone would make an excellent best man; the only problem is that he could not talk and would not be able to make the best man’s speech for the toast. LOL.
“He’s a really well-trained dog. I planned for him to stand between me and my brother. Boone was technically the best man, but he couldn’t really give a speech so I thought I should give my brother a shot,” Jayce joked.
“While everyone in the procession walked down the aisle, he stayed in his spot, exactly where he was supposed to be until he saw Angie, and then he just couldn’t resist going over to say ‘Hi!’”
That’s the point when Boone started stealing the show from the newlyweds. He rolled on the grass at the middle of the venue as the ceremony started, making people laugh with his silly antics.
Amused over the dog’s antics, the couple’s friend Chris Davis who photographed the wedding decided to include Boone in the photos – and the results were rather cute and hilarious.
Later that day, July 28, a lot of people had already seen Boone’s silly pictures as he stole the show in his owner’s wedding. Chris’ post was shared over 50,000 times on social media but the couple had no idea their adorable dog had already gone viral because they had gone camping in Zion National Park in Utah where there was no cellphone service.
It was only a few days after their honeymoon camping trip that they found out Boone had become the internet’s latest star.
“We didn’t really know it went viral until recently. Last thing we knew, our friend, the photographer, texted us the photo on the night of our wedding and we were just dying laughing,” Jayce revealed.
With Boone obviously an adorable scene-stealer, a lot of netizens are already looking forward to seeing more pictures of the pooch photobombing the couple once again – perhaps in future baby announcements and gender reveals? It’s easy to see that Boone would surely be making his own plans for these events. LOL.
Jayce and Angie had an adorable love story themselves, also worth going viral for.
Growing up in a small town, they were the best of friends but were not really childhood sweethearts. After moving out of town in college to study in different schools, the two lost touch.
Who would have thought that meeting again at a friend’s wedding some 5 years ago would bring them together as couple? The two began dating shortly afterwards, leading to the marriage last month that went viral because of their adorable dog. Cute.
